  1. Apparently the beautiful and orderly Korean alphabet is easy to learn. This was explained to me by a Korean friend who said that her young daughter learned to read Korean well even though she did not know the meaning of most words. The writing system was reorganized and simplified. I know nothing about Korean grammar and sentence structure. I found this on the internet:

‘Most English speakers think Korean has thousands of characters, like Chinese, but it actually has a very simple and logical alphabet, which you can learn in a few minutes. The alphabet was invented in 1443 during the reign of the Great King Sejong. There are 14 basic consonants and 10 basic vowels. Letters that have similar sounds also have similar shapes, so it is easy to learn.’

The Hungarian writing system was also reorganized around the year 1000 of our era and can be read easily enough phonetically but it is very complicated in grammar and structure.

English was never ‘fixed’ so it remains the mess that it is. Ciao!
